Hope you are having even half as much of a good time as me! x LikeLike Reply Just been to Oxford where we came across some very interesting string from Cameroon. Very fine, Made from peeled raffia palm leaves, dyed dark red with cam wood. Worn by women in the biennial fertility masquerade. Our host in Oxford is an anthropologist who has been visiting the same village in Cameroon for 30 years. When I asked him about string he popped up into the attic and produced the sample. I can’t seem to add an image to your blog but will email pic / send sample if u are interested.
